Steps of Issuing a License for the Operation of a Health Interest Store

(Operation Notification)

• With the issuance of Law 4442/2016 (Government Gazette 230A 07-12-2016) as in force and the Ministerial Decision no. 16228/2017 (Government Gazette 1723 / Β 18-05-2017) the conditions required for the operation of Health Stores change .

• Notification : The notification is defined as the obligatory procedure by which the interested party informs in advance the competent authority for the start of operation of the economic activity, which he intends to exercise in a certain place or facility, without the need for prior control. (article 2 L.4442 / 16)

• It is very important before submitting the notification that the interested party has ensured that the store can be set up in the specific location so as not to be faced with unpleasant surprises afterwards. For this purpose, a certificate is required from the competent service of the Municipality , that the specific activity can be established in the specific position. The certificate is issued within fifteen (15) days from the submission of the relevant application.

• The issuance of the certificate is not a condition for the issuance of a license to start a business.

• The activity of the company in the Municipality through the information system is announced (it no longer exists, the term Operating License) and it has the obligation to meet all the conditions of the current urban, health and firefighting legislation , while it is checked afterwards whether meets them.
